Sun vs Trappist 1-Are all star systems identical ?
Subject :
Are all star systems identical to ours? Creation of models of two planetary systems: the Solar system and the exoplanetary system of the star Trappist 1.
Niveau : all levels
Duration : variable
Prerequisites :
Objectives :
- Create two models of two star systems: the Solar system and the system around Trappist-1.
- Search for information on internet, about the distances between star and planets in each system, as well as the sizes of the different celestial bodies.
Reuse the cross product or proportionality table for the use of the AU ? scale - number of
sheets and km-cm, for distances and sizes.
(Biology) Reflect on the parameters that determine the presence of a possible habitable
zone.
Matérials required :
- Several rolls of toilet paper or paper strips, depending on the size of the workspace.
- Paper to cut out and colour to represent the planets.
